finest materials and from natural origins

For your comfort and respect for the environment, Pier Juan emphasizes the use of materials natural and high quality in the manufacture of its socks. Nevertheless, our socks are extremely fine we are forced to incorporate a small quantity of polyamide to ensure an optimum fit.

The Modal :

Origins :
- The Modal is derived from a natural fiber extracted from wood cellulose of beech
Properties :
- It is soft, supple and silky and can provide a level of comfort. More absorbent than cotton fiber Modal is breathable and is particularly known for its virtues antiperspirant.
Maintenance :
- No particular constraint, the Modal withstands the machine run.

The cotton :

Origins :
- Known in India since ancient times, it was probably invented 2500 BC in Peru. It was introduced to Europe until late in the eighteenth century.
Properties :
- Natural vegetable fiber. Fresh, fresh, comfortable and durable. Cotton has a very good ability to absorb moisture.
Maintenance :
- No particular constraints, it supports the hot and the machine. Wash at 30 ° material wrinkle. Shrinkage in the wash between 3 and 5%.

Scotland yarn (Mercerized cotton) :

The wool :

Origins :
- The wool is obtained from keratin fibers from sheep. Mainly resulting from the fleece of sheep, it also produces wool from the fleece of Angora goats, cashmere, but also rabbit, camel, lama,...
Properties :
- Insulating (cold and heat). Absorbs moisture up to 30% of its weight not wet to the touch. Brittle material.
Maintenance :
- Supports neither the heat nor the machine. Use mild detergent or special wool.

The Silk :

Origins :
- Animal origin, the silk thread is obtained by unwinding the cocoon produced by the larva of a butterfly.
Properties :
- Fine, strong and very sweet. Provides heat in winter and summer sweetness. Wrinkle resistant and very bright it allows the production of fabrics incomparable.
Maintenance :
- Cold water by hand. Very delicate, it can not stand the heat, dry flat.
